Insulated panels, sometimes referred to as composite or sandwich panels, have been widely used in cool room and cold store facilities but not as often for external roof and wall applications. Kingspan is proud to introduce purposely designed insulated panels to the roof and wall market. Kingspan panel are single component, factory pre-engineered systems that combine the aesthetic finish, insulation and weathertightnees in one product. Unlike coolroom panels, the join details have been designed to specifically suit the building envelope ensuring weather tightnees and flashings have developed to compliment the overall finish.

Range
Produced in the full Colorbond® range of colours and  finishes the kingspan partfolio of insulated panels includes both through-fix and secret-fix option for roof and will application.

Section J compliance
Insulation continuity guarantees thermal performance which is key to achieving Section J compliance. Kingspan panels meet part J compliance using  less depth of insulation compared to traditional fiberglass quilt alternatives. Furthermore, Kingspan insulated panels are guaranteed to retain their thermal performance for the life of the product thereby helping to ensure that the building energy performance remains constant for the life of the building.

Speed
Kingspan’s range of panels are manufactured and cut to order and are delivered to site ready for installation. This allows for faster onsite assembly which in turn can cut site time by up to 50% compared with multipart site assembled systems. This reduces onsite costs and allows for earlier occupation of the building.

Environmental
Without exception, kingspan panels incorporate a Firesafe FM approved Polyisocyanurate (PIR) rigid insulation core with zero Ozone Depletion Potential and are both CFC and HCFC free.

Reduced purlin requirement
With greater spanning capabilities, insulated panels can dramatically reduce the purlin requirement which are currently required for typical construction.

Kingspan insulated coolroom panels
Coolroom environments often present potential fire hazards, particularly when used in food processing plants. All Kingspan coolroom panels are manufactured using FM approved PIR insulation cores meaning they have undergone rigorous fire testing. Unlike expended polystyrene(EPS), Firesafe PIR panels do not propagate fire and have been proven to greatly reduce the risk of total building loss.
