With climate change being so 'top of mind' these days, it pays more than ever to look at how 'green' the construction materials you specify actually are, and what impact they could have in the future. That is why Kingspan invest so heavily in 'sustainable' materials to achieve energy savings and reduce construction costs. For example, Kingspan (R value) insulated roof and wall systems can reduce energy use by up to 60%. Moreover, by pre-fabricating off-site, Kingspan provides factory quality systems that are faster to install which in turn reduces onsite energy costs.
Looking at the future, Kingspan are researching wall panels and roofing systems that can be 100% recyclable, with alternative uses such as fuel for energy plants.
